DALE flawlessly bends genres on relatable single, "Treading Water"
Serving up his third overall single and first of the year, DALE has completely hit the mark on his latest delivery, “Treading Water”. Do yourselves a huge favor and keep reading for a closer look at the track, in addition to a background on this artist.
Amassing massive success as a songwriter and producer, we’re thrilled that DALE is continuing on and adding on to his already impressive personal discography. With singles shared over the past two years, his latest endeavor is a pop punk-inspired track called “Treading Water” that has simply been stuck in our heads since the moment it got sent. It’s got that edge to it that we’re always looking for in a rock track, so with that, of course we’ve got to recommend you give it a spin as soon as possible.
Leading up to his much anticipated debut EP coming next year, we’ve finally got a focused taste of what’s to come, and now 2023 can’t come soon enough. On the background of this song though, it’s an anthem to the mid-20’s folks, really about finding your way in this extremely hard to navigate world. We’re all trying to figure it out in one way or another, so to have this wonderfully relatable track that hits home both audibly and contextually, what’s not to love. According to DALE, “It’s easily the most 'rock' song I’ve released thus far—for months it was just this bass riff I had laying around, but once I started building it out I felt a real pull towards new wave and alternative rock-inspired production”.
While this song certainly takes on the feel of that early 2000’s pop punk era, one of the other major highlights is its electronic production and samples that give it some grit and sort of propel it into a genre of its own. The vocals are crispy clean, it takes the elements of his past songs and utilizes them nicely, and honestly it's right up our alley for personal music preferences. There’s truly nothing we’d change about this whatsoever, it’s a flawless song in its aim to entertain.
As we patiently wait for more, please go ahead and check out the links to listen, follow along, and of course to stay tuned for much more coming.
