Charlie Crown delivers a massive remix album of single, "Just Say It"
As if the original single wasn’t great enough, Charlie Crown has just dropped a massive remix album highlighting his single, “Just Say It”. Please keep reading for a much closer look into the tracks, in addition to a background on these artists.
For those somehow out of the loop, Charlie Crown is an emerging DJ and producer currently based out of Colombia. Seeing major success with his single “Just Say It”, it was only right that he helped to collaborate on an immense remix album featuring a whopping 19 different versions of the track. With remixes coming from some of electronic music’s biggest talents like Luca Lush, Subtact, Bronze Whale, and more, there’s something for everyone no matter where you fall on the spectrum of music.
Seeing as though Charlie Crown has only been officially releasing music since 2018, it’s a beautiful sight to see as he’s risen through the ranks and created an energetic community loving his music. As his name gets out there, it’s also not a surprise that some of his favorite producers were willing to jump on board and provide their best rendition of “Just Say It”. Like any remixed song, we recommend checking out the original in order to make comparisons, but in this scenario you could listen to any of the 19 and be more than pleased. All of them are based and rooted in electronic music, but being able to audibly hear the minor subtleties in sonic composition and form is what makes this so special. In all of our time reviewing music, an album of this size is something we’ve never seen, but one we’re loving with each repeated listen.
Picking one of out the 19 to call our favorite would be a super difficult task, but we were particularly partial to the versions from Franny J, Baywood, Sad Youth, and Hyperdaze. They managed to take the best parts of the core song and emphasize those in a way that still didn’t sound like any of the other versions, a severely underrated feat when creating something of this size. With all that being said though, please go ahead and hop into this listen immediately. We’ve provided all the important links below to do so.
