Brian Seymour tell his compelling story on brand new single, "Next Great Thing"

Released this past week on October 23rd, 2020, Brian Seymour has officially shared his wonderful new single, “Next Great Thing”. Please do yourselves a favor and read along with us for our thoughts on the track, in addition to a background on the artist as well.
For those who may be unaware, Brian Seymour is an American singer and songwriter who has been writing and recording his own music for three decades. Raised in Springsteen’s Red Bank, New Jersey, he emerged as an artist in the 199’0s in Philadelphia where he still lives with his wife and 8 year old son. He has released seven full-length records on his own label, Bamu Ventures, and has had prominent placements in film and TV. Along the way he earned his Ph.D. in the history of art and teaches at the Community College of Philadelphia, as well as at Villanova University, and the Barnes Foundation.
Follows two previous singles released during the pandemic, titled “I Go Happy” and “Big Creep”, this newest one “Next Great Thing” comes as the third winner of the bunch. In addition to his creative streak, Brian also hosts a songwriter circle called Cheap Essential Scenery in Wayne, near Philly, the last Tuesday of each month, in which they are recording it now as a podcast to keep it going. Needless to say, Brian has absolutely been keeping busy during the last 8 months or so. In such wild times, the only thing we really can do is look towards the future and create when we find the urge.
With this all being said, we are loving what we've heard on this newest track. It’s honest and tells a compelling story within its relatable lyricism. It would be a shame to get through the review and not mention Brian’s stellar vocal delivery. It’s what we envision as a perfect and classic indie delivery, sounding eerily similar to so many amazing releases of the early 2000’s.
While this was our first foray into the music of Brian Seymour, let it be known that it certainly will not be our last. Seeing as his musical output has been immense for so many years, it looks like we’ve got a bit of “homework” on our hands in terms of catching up. To be totally honest, we’re really looking forward to it! Years and years of experience amassed and incredible work continues to pour from Brian’s creative centers. This is a career we’ll continue to keep a close eye on.
So with that being said, now’s about the time we’ll let the reader know to stop reading and start listening!
