Baschira teases single "Brucia" off his upcoming debut album

Storming back into 2021 and releasing a wonderful new song titled “Brucia” just before the year’s end, Baschira has beyond impressed us with his latest musical output. Please read on for our glowing review of the track, as well as a much needed refresher on the artist.

Behind the project of Baschira is the genius mind of Davide Cristiani. We’ve loved so much of his work that’s come out over the past year, so you can only imagine our immense joy when “Brucia” hit streaming services. Translated to “Burn”, “Brucia” delicately tells the dramatic story of an Italian entrepreneur, Giuseppe Campaniello. While the song is in Italian, don’t mind the language barrier, because it’s all fantastic overall.

With this first single releasing and Baschira’s debut album titled Zdasdat set to come out towards the end of this month, we’re ecstatic for what is to come. We sincerely loved his songs “A Capo” and “Il Biondo” and have been anxiously awaiting his return. Speaking directly on “Brucia” though, Baschira has put together a seriously vibrant and instrumentally compelling song that gripped us from the opening notes. There’s a subtle beauty that underlies the track in his vocal delivery, however the woodwind instruments present also deliver a complex depth to it all as well.

At just a little over three minutes in total run time, we’ve had to listen many times at this point mainly due to how much we’ve enjoyed it. If the album that’s on the way is any indication of the greatness of this song, than Baschira certainly has something special on his hands. Whether this is your first introduction to his music or not, we highly recommend you check out his first two tracks as well to fully familiarize yourself before more comes out. There’s so much to love here and we’ve so quickly become fans of his.

One of the last things we’d like to point out here is the audible improvement in production on “Brucia”. Listening to this on a nice pair of headphones should be mandatory as there’s so many little moments that could otherwise be missed. With that being said though, let us point you in the direction of the links below to where you can listen, follow along, and stay tuned for everything else that’s on the way.
