Arena Heroes preview their anthemic & energetic single, "We Can Revolt"
A massive jolt of adrenaline and energy from start to finish, the project of Arena Heroes has delivered big with an anthemic single, “We Can Revolt”. Keep reading for an in-depth review of the track, as well as a background on this artist.
From the artistic mind of Ken Mertz comes his project called Arena Heroes, one that we’ve quickly taken a liking to. With the official release of “We Can Revolt” coming on Friday, November 4th, we were lucky enough to get a sneak preview of his latest single. Accompanied by a music video coming the same day, the ultimate goal of Ken’s music is to “capture the excitement and energy of a live sports event through music”. We can attest that’s exactly what this song has done for us and we can’t wait for everyone to hit the play button as soon as it’s available.
Now we can kick this off by letting you know this isn’t “typical” music, rather literal stadium anthems that are geared to be played in professional sports arenas. With that being said though, immediately our first thought was how well suited this song would be in that setting, knowing nothing prior to our listen. The first describer as mentioned was “anthemic”, creating that community-based feeling no matter the sport, country, or the setting overall. While Ken’s expertise lies in guitar, he’s taught himself how to incorporate samples and other production effects to create these works of art. One day soon, we hope to enter our favorite venue and hear these blaring over the speakers!
While the song itself only clocks in at about two minutes in length, our only real “complaint”, it uses those seconds wisely in curating a mood and vibe. From the opening notes, the powerhouse wave of synthesizers, bombastic drums, and a crunchy electric guitar send a lightning bolt of enthusiasm through your body. No matter the size of the event, it’s not hard to envision this being thrown on and the crowd absolutely losing their collective minds. “We Can Revolt” goes hard instrumentally and we sincerely cannot wait to hear follow ups in the coming months.
