Leading with emotion and authenticity, Alex Bedford has just shared another meaningful single that’s aptly titled “Frozen Here”. Please read on for a closer look into the track, in addition to a background on the artist.
Stafford-based singer and songwriter Alex Bedford has been on an absolute tear over the past year or so staying incredibly consistent with his releases. Relying on imagery-filled lyricism and compelling instrumentation, his newest “Frozen Here” follows the formula perfectly and makes a lovely addition to his growing discography. Now having had the time to explore the rest of his music, we can confidently recommend that everyone out there do the exact same thing.
What originally started as a snippet that was posted to his social media followers, eventually received enough positive feedback to complete it in full. We’re thrilled he did, because not only do his vocals shine extremely bright from start to finish, it also tells a story that highlights his detailed songwriting. In case you didn’t catch it, Alex has said, “‘Frozen Here' is a sincere expression of love, missing what you once had and not wanting to let go.” We also got the feeling that it’s about living in the moment and not letting life pass you by, but like all music, it’s up to interpretation for however it hits you.
Ultimately this song left us feeling optimistic yet also with a wave of introspection due its themes. Whether it’s love you’re connecting it to or something positive happening in your life, it’s best to live in the present and enjoy what’s happening. Of course the conviction in Alex’s voice is really what sells it the most, mainly because the delivery is what makes it all so special. Though the production is a tad minimalistic, we also felt that was the correct stylistic decision to make because anything extra or novelty could have definitely taken away from its allure. Seeing as though this is marking just the second release of the year from Alex, we’re already patiently waiting for more, hopefully something in the same vein too.
