Samuel Herb details his exclusive NFT collection & partnership with Limewire
In case you haven’t heard, Limewire is making a major resurgence in the NFT space and Nashville’s own Samuel Herb has just announced a partnership debuting an exclusive collection. To us, it feels like a match made in heaven, so please read on for all the important info on the situation.
We honestly never thought we’d see the day that Limewire made its way back to the spotlight, but in a turn of events, we’re thrilled to say they have! Like any music listener of the last 15 years, chances are Limewire played a pivotal role in shaping your music tastes. With that being said though, this announcement is coming directly after their relaunch party that took place in New York last weekend. Not long after, Samuel Herb provided the details on their partnership that we’ve got listed here. The NFT is numbered to 1,000 and is launching on the "green" Algorand Network. Algorand pledges to be the greenest blockchain with a carbon-negative network now and in the future. Samuel Herb's exclusive NFT with Limewire is a digital graphic with unlockable content including one exclusive song, a preview of Samuel Herb's first single from his upcoming debut album, access to one Samuel Herb show per year, and access to a Samuel Herb Discord channel. On top of launching with the "green" Algorand Network, he has also pledged to plant a tree for each NFT purchased.
Over the past year or so, NFT’s have certainly been at the forefront of the news, especially surrounding the conversation of just how eco-friendly they are. To be honest, it was a concern of ours as well, but now reading the precautions that Samuel’s taking here has definitely put us in a positive mindset. Herb commented on the innovative partnership saying, "It is an amazing opportunity to be working with a platform like Limewire; I used their original platform to fall in love with music and now being featured as one of their first five emerging artists is an incredible honor. It was going to take the perfect storm for me to want to release an NFT as they are normally not environmentally friendly, but with Limewire being on the Algorand Network which is Net-Carbon Zero, and adding my tree planting initiative, this launch was the perfect way for me to enter the web3 space."
