Adam Brookes crafts an atmospheric wonder with "Different Times"
Kicking off his 2022 incredibly strong with an all new single titled “Different Times”, Adam Brookes is back and absolutely crushing it. Read on for our glowing review of this track, as well as a background on the artist.
Shifting his tone, but not straying too far from what we’ve heard in the past, Adam Brookes’ single “Different Times” is simply sublime. For this singer and songwriter, he’s expertly combined lyrics that reflect on the craziness we’re all living but has mixed in some atmospheric tones that we’ve quickly fallen in love with as well. Whether this is your introduction to his music or not, we confidently feel this would be a fantastic place to start.
Right from the opening notes, it’s as if Adam’s production takes you into a different realm. While the song is certainly electronic based and fueled by spacey synthesizers, his vocal presence provides this calming yet euphoric feeling all at once. There’s such an even keel that this song has provided for us because it can fit into so many different moods. We envision ourselves kicking back and letting this flow through us, but at the same time, we’d have no problem getting up to dance it out too. If that was the intention, then bravo Adam because you’ve seriously nailed it.
Although he’s been part of different projects that have certainly experimented with that niche blend of genre, we sort of enjoy the minimalistic approach he’s taken here as a whole. The song doesn’t feature any gimmicky production to really reel you in, rather the artistry speaks for itself. It’s catchy enough to pop on at a moment’s notice for a large group to enjoy, that’s for sure. Honestly, it’s really one of the more well rounded songs we’ve heard in quite some time, but if anything, it’s piqued our interest indefinitely to keep up with whatever this talented musician has in store for the near future.
