Inner Wave Hypnotize the Crowd at Denver's Mission Ballroom
Always delivering a mesmerizing performance, we got the incredible opportunity to witness Inner Wave do their thing at the Mission Ballroom in Denver, Colorado. Do yourselves a favor and recount the night with us with a full review and photo gallery below.
Coming right after the musical stylings of Gustaf and shortly before the greatness that was Foals, Inner Wave commanded the stage at Denver’s Mission Ballroom for a hypnotizing set of their greatest hits thus far. Ever since 2021, we’ve been certifiably obsessed with their record Apoptosis and have since had the chance to see them three times prior. The most recent was at Desert Daze during the hottest part of the day and before that an opening slot for Paris’ L’Imperatrice. One thing has stayed true though, every performance they’ve continued to build on what makes them so unique. Incorporating dim lighting, infusing suspense into the mix, and ultimately creating a cosmic vibe, there’s infinite things to love about Inner Wave.
Although we wish their set was double the length, the band made due and immediately immersed the crowd into a frenzy. We suppose a major positive of an opening set is that they only play the “best” songs, but it also served as an opportunity for so many attendees to learn about them or experience what makes them special for the first time. Kicking off our show in the photo pit was a legendary experience on its own, being so close to the goods. After taking pictures, we made our way to the back to really take in the light show and see how it all comes together from afar. To no surprise in the slightest, each member of the band was in the pocket, killing it song after song. You could honestly feel the crowd become more and more entranced as the set went on, and honestly, that’s the magic of this music.
Inner Wave are currently on tour with Foals as the opening act, so obviously we’re urging everyone out there to grab a ticket, listen up, and follow along in order to keep up with the latest news. Check out our photo gallery below as well, enjoy!
