Camp Cope Bring All The Energy to LA's The Regent Theater

Camp Cope closed out their massive North American tour at The Regent Theater in DTLA last night alongside local openers zzzahara with a beautiful set filled with songs about love and self acceptance, but this time with more harmonies! Please check out our complete review of the show and photo gallery linked below.

I last saw Camp Cope at The Bootleg Theater (RIP) back in the before times of 2019. Back then, they were a three piece made up of the unshowered masses (singer/songwriter Georgia Maq’s words not mine), but Georgia stated between one of the songs that she wanted the band to smell good and sound even better, hence the harmonies! The band’s bassist Kelly-Dawn is six weeks away from giving birth to her first child, so she has stepped down for at least the end of the tour and was subbed in for by someone who has Kelly’s bouncy Peter Hooky reminiscent basslines down pat.

They also added a second guitarist to the touring lineup to really grow their live sound. This gave any of the songs from their first two albums a heftier sound that filled the room when as a three piece it felt like they were just starting to push the room out a little. They blazed through their potent set list (with no encore because their fill-in bassist only knows so many of the band’s songs) with love and passion and then before I knew it they were walking off the stage and the tour was over. Without a doubt, I cannot wait for the next time!

All in all though, if you’re looking for an electric show with a basically guaranteed audience of super fans, we highly recommend checking the band out once they’re back out on tour. For the time being, go ahead and check out the important links below to listen, follow along, and of course to keep up with the latest from Camp Cope.
