Yasmine Gill transcends sound on impressive single, "Woman"

Transcending sound yet again, Yasmine Gill has simply blown us away with the release of “Woman”. Keep reading for a closer look into the single, as well as a much needed update on the artist.

It’s been nearly 7 months since our last review of Yasmine Gill’s single “Feel”, but thankfully she’s made her way back with a lovely new track called “Woman”. Infusing Soul, R&B, and so much more into the mix, she’s somehow managed to expand her sound on this richly produced and executed song. Honestly, we think it might be the best thing she’s ever put out, but we’ll leave it to everyone out there to listen and give their opinion. With that being said though, we truly can’t recommend it enough.

Now having listened to the entirety of her EP titled Feel, the puzzle pieces have come together to show us what the entirety of the record really feels like. Re-listening to the title track got us into the zone, but now having listened to Feel over and over again, it’s downright impressive how grand the soundscapes and atmospheres she’s created here really are. So much of what we enjoy about Yasmine’s music is her voice, obviously, but the intriguing way that she also uses it as a harmonizer and instrument within the song is next level talent and what sets her music apart from the rest of the pack.

Another major mention and highlight has to be the production and song structure of “Woman”. It’ll become apparent quickly into your initial listen, but it breaks the mold of what’s “normal” within genre-adjacent music like this. The slow tease of Feel has been one that’s let us set with her music, but at this point, we’re ecstatic that the full thing has arrived.. The light at the end of the tunnel is here, but the best part is that “Woman” feels dense enough to come back for repeated listens to really uncover all that we may be missing going on in the background.

In the meantime while we patiently wait, go ahead and click those links below to listen, follow along, and to keep up with all major news on the way.
