Yana teases last single "Funeral Of Life" before 2023 debut album release

Celebrating its official release on September 21st, 2022, Yana has made a quick return with her third teaser single, “Funeral of Life”. Once again, we love it, so please read on for our full review, as well as an update on this emerging artist.

Serving as the final single release of the year, Yana has potentially saved the best and most emotional with “Funeral Of Life”. Pivoting her sound a bit on the arrangement end and even instrumental, the song still very much holds her signature essence as a growing artist and has given us more of an idea of what to expect once the full record drops. For this Czech Republic-based musician, she’s given us enough of a taste of what’s to come to know that the new year and her new music can’t come soon enough.

On the background of it all, it’s relatively straightforward in its aim as Yana tells us, “I hope its message of adapting to whatever life throws at us will resonate with people”. With infinite twists and turns coming to the average person’s life, moreso nowadays, it’s truly songs like this that make you feel like you’re not alone in this ever changing world. Considering that on a daily basis we’re about 7,000 miles away from the artist in distance, it’s never been easier to relate to a song like this, one that we can confide in when the times get tough. Although this is her shortest song to date and right around two minutes in length, it honestly feels like it might be the most impactful. We sincerely enjoyed “Calm Before The Storm” for its rawness and stripped back tendencies, but “Funeral Of Life” takes those notes and capitalizes on them in a completely different yet powerful way.

Now that the puzzle pieces of her album have come together just a little bit more, it’s given us an idea of where her vision is going to be completed. “Funeral Of Life” certainly feels like an empowering statement within its words, but of course it shines the brightest in Yana’s vocals that serve as another hidden instrument in the mix. The way that she’s able to embody the feeling of passion and resolve is what ultimately makes this song feel the most special. Early 2023 cannot come soon enough, but before then, we’re urging everyone to listen through her discography to prepare yourselves.
