Interview by Austin Sher

After 10 years of sitting on the demo, Truenemy has finally released his long awaited single, “Midnight Train”. Needless to say, we are loving it! You can watch our full interview with Paul Vuocolo from Truenemy by clicking the link below.

While we’d love for you to watch our full interview with Paul, more than anything, we’d love for you to listen. Before we get to that though, let us just say that we’re beyond thrilled that the time finally came for Truenemy to take the music out of storage and give it a proper release. All links to listen can be found at the bottom the article.

Including a bit of background on the song as well, front man Paul Vuocolo says, "Midnight Train has always been one of my favorite songs and was the show opener for the live incarnation of Truenemy back in the day. It is a hard driving, melodic and visual journey in which the protagonist is a dream chaser on a quest to find true love. This person has become obsessed with the dream-chasing process and invites the listener to “Ride the Midnight Train!” with conviction and bravado.”

Directly inspired by “Somewhere in Time", of which he has always been a fan, “Midnight Train” coincides with the 40th anniversary release year of the film. There are nods here and there to the content in the movie, so if you happen to be an existing fan, make sure to keep a close eye and ear on what you discover.

Lastly, the making of the song brought in some heavy hitters as well. Being produced and remixed by super producer Chuck Alkazian (Pop Evil, Soundgarden, Tantric) at Pearl Sound Studios in Canton, Michigan, he really managed to work together with Paul and bring this beast of a song to life. Like we mentioned in our video, we haven’t been able to turn it off since it crossed our paths. So with that being said, do yourselves a favor and get listen!
