Fresh off the release of his latest, “The Water Bearer”, the artist known as Trav B Ryan has managed to amplify his past sound for something seriously special here. Detailing a not so talked about subject, yet covering these specific themes in an eloquent manner, there’s seemingly endless moments on this song that strike us as standouts. If this happens to be your first foray into Trav’s music, we promise you’ve found him at the perfect time.
On the background of it all, he said, “this song is about the Aquarius zodiac sign and its misunderstood nature. It's a deep dive into the mental of a person born under that zodiac sign”. Known as the Zodiac rapper himself, from beginning to end Trav takes the listener on a journey and adventure into the true specifics, really operating as a wealth of knowledge on a topic we’ve got none of. While he goes quite in-depth lyrically, it still gives the opportunity for the listener to pick apart his words and connect those hidden dots. Truly, this felt like more of an audible experience rather than a straightforward track, mainly in the sense that there’s an immense amount of depth and complexity flowing from start to finish.
Clocking in at right around three and a half minutes, we suppose this is a plus, but the song flew right by as you’re basically sucked into the immersion of it all. The opening notes are more than enough to hold your attention, but really the crux of “The Water Bearer” comes from Trav’s elegant flow, delivery, and explanation. It’s spurred us here to look closer into the rest of his catalog, and to no surprise in the slightest, it delivers in a big way.
