Tim Scott endlessly shreds on new single, "Escape to Paradise"
Led by an intoxicating guitar riff throughout the entirety, Tim Scott’s “Escape to Paradise” is a thing of pure beauty. Please read on for a closer look at the track, in addition to a much needed background on the artist.
With an aim to emotionally lift people up, we confidently think that “Escape to Paradise” from Tim Scott has fully fit that bill. While the track is ultimately chill and laid back right from the start, it’s also got some incredibly endearing grooves that pair right up with it. This was our first introduction to Tim’s music, however he’s left us with nothing but positivity to say about the song, and we’ve got no choice but to overwhelmingly recommend it for a listen.
As an avid guitar player who can very clearly shred based on the track, lately Tim has been putting his efforts into these uplifting melodies. If you’re familiar with the music of Tom Misch, we found this to be quite reminiscent of that style, but in a way that fully differentiates himself from the pack. There’s also a massive amount of genre blending going on here as you’ll hear glimmers of pop, classic rock, and a slight amount of funk too. Whatever label you’d like to put on this though, it really does sort of fit into its own niche of sound, style, and originality.
For us though, typically our first impression doesn’t come from the music, rather the artwork for the song. It’s not something we often mention in a review, but the vivid colors and imagery so perfectly encapsulated what the music delivered. It transported us like we were listening on a beach with a cold drink in hand, all the while Tim is playing his heart out with riff after riff. The song stays true to form and really does serve as an “Escape to Paradise”.
Sincerely though, this is just the type of music that we didn’t know we needed in our lives and are thrilled to be passing off to others to enjoy. Please do yourselves all a favor and check out the links below in order to listen, follow along, and of course to follow along with everything else on the way. Enjoy!
