Tedworth amps up the energy on expressive single, "Going Under"
A punch of power and adrenaline wrapped up into one fantastic single, Tedworth has just shared his latest, “Going Under”. Read on as we take a closer look into the track, as well as a much needed background on the artist.
Personal and quite meaningful through its vivid lyricism, Tedworth has amped it up on his latest rock thriller, a song titled “Going Under”. Considering this was our introduction to the band, we honestly didn’t really know what to expect, but by the end we were fully immersed in this well rounded and energizing piece of art. If this happens to be your first time checking them out, we think this is a great jumping off point to ultimately explore some more.
On the background of it all, the artist has stated that “Going Under” is about “losing hope in being alive and losing hope in your passion”. As the song opens up, it quickly has an instrumental feel that’s actually quite bright and uplifting, however Tedworth juxtaposed the song with an introspective look into his own life. On a positive note though, creating this and having this be an easel of expression, he says it was a “shining light in my life and gave me hope to keep going and push through”. We’re all dealing with something in some capacity, and wherever you find your outlet, this song can also serve as a shoulder to lean on for those experiencing loneliness, confusion, depression, and beyond.
Putting the message aside for just a moment though, a major highlight of ours was how immediate you’re thrown into the world and atmosphere of this song. Though there’s a slight buildup, Tedworth wastes no time amping up the grand and resounding instrumentals, resounding in a stellar piece of modern rock. At just three and a half minutes, its runtime zooms by as there are seemingly infinite motifs that present themselves too. With bombastic drums that’ll have you bobbing your head, edgy vocals that expertly fit the vibe, and the perfect amount of aggression and angst, it’s truly hard not to fall in love with it all. We can’t wait to continue to explore everything that Tedworth has, but in the meantime, we suggest again that you take a moment and check out “Going Under”.
