Fresh off the release of his newest EP Pop Man, we got the special opportunity to sit and speak with Steven Thad all about the background of his record. Please take a moment to check out our full interview with the artist below.

Originally from the DMV area on the Eastern coast of the US, Steven Thad has been involved in the music scene for a majority of his life. With his latest EP Pop Man just released, Steven has put together an eclectic mix of originals and covers that have given listeners everywhere a taste of his style, sound, and what’s to come. Getting to speak with Steven was the cherry on top to a memorable listen, so we can’t wait for everyone to give this a spin.

Part of a band with his sisters and always taking the chance to immerse himself in something new, we’ve completely fallen in love with his aim and goal to always think outside the box. Speaking on the original “Husband Material”, the background of it all is to “let go of dating expectations that others sometimes hold you to (and that you sometimes impose on others). Music will always be in my future, and I’m very excited to forge ahead on this journey”. It’s a journey that we can’t wait to take a ride on, and with so much more music on the way in the near future, now’s about the time to explore the rest of his discography.

Now of course our aim isn’t to spoil, rather to engage you to listen, but the everlasting sense of style that Steven is giving is worth checking out on its own. He gives you a glimpse into his personal tastes and listening through covers, but also has created the chance to switch it up and show you what he’s made of. We spoke about it in length, but taking a memorable song and putting your own spin on it is a fine line to balance, but Steven Thad has broken through that barrier and infused greatness into it all from start to finish.
