SRE lets the listener in on his impactful EP, "More Than I See"

Authentic as ever and letting listeners from all over into his headspace, SRE has made his return with a wonderful new EP titled More Than I See. Keep reading for our full review of the record, in addition to a background on the artist.

Currently based out of Scarborough, Ontario, SRE (pronounced “sorry”), is a relatively newer artist, but has made an extreme impact in just his two years of creating. With a full length album, debut EP, and multiple singles under his belt already, his creative streak has continued once again with another EP he’s called More Than I See. On the background of this project, he’s aimed to cover a ton of contextual themes such as “confidence, doubt, falling, dreaming, and hope”. It’s a listen we quite enjoyed on our first run through and can’t wait for everyone out there to give it a spin as soon as possible.

Being an artist in any medium whether it’s music, art, or entertainment is consistently putting your heart on your sleeve and hoping that someone out there connects and resonates. On More Than I See, SRE has gone above and beyond in attempting to make connections with the listener and opening his soul to all who will listen. Through 6 total tracks on the record, he’s delivered a short but sweet performance that is jam-packed with an even flow, imagery-filled lyricism, and a confidence that can’t be taught or learned. To be honest, this was our introduction to SRE so we haven’t been introduced to the rest of his music, but we were so impressed with this that we can’t wait to do a deep dive on everything else he’s made so far.

Typically we would recommend a couple tracks to properly introduce yourselves to the music, but what’s special about More Than I See is how it’s an incredibly cohesive listen that takes the listener on a journey from start to finish. You’d be doing yourselves a disservice if you didn’t experience it from start to finish. There’s so many flourishments within the production, memorable lyrical passages, and even some slightly upbeat songs that make you want to get up and groove it out.

Not to spoil much else, but let us please point you in the direction of those links below in order to listen, follow along, and to stay tuned for his next project. We’re hoping it’s not too far away!
