Souto creates paradise on summer-centric single, "Looking At You"
Our last piece of Souto coverage came at the end of last summer, but thankfully he’s back at it again with a track called “Looking At You” that’s primed for this summer. Read along with us for our full featured review of the single, in addition to a refresher on the artist.
Brazil raised and now New Jersey based DJ, Souto, has manufactured a dense, atmospheric, and euphoric track that’s summer ready titled “Looking At You”. Featuring a set of commanding female vocals and an always top notch production, this is just the type of evolution in sound that we expected from the artist, but he’s still managed to surpass our every expectation.
Coming in at just a little over four minutes in run time, “Looking At You” borders the line of feeling like you’re dancing in a jungle, grooving on the beach, and having the absolute best time of your life. Whether that was intentional or not on Souto’s part and direction, it doesn’t really matter, because the end product has more than blown us away. Immediately from the get go on the thumping single, you get transported into another world that’s both experimental and optimistic.
It’s been nearly a year since we last covered Souto and his single “Better Days”, but since then his music has been on constant repeat. Truly, over the last year he’s been one of our favorite electronic artists to explore and pop on when we’re feeling down or need a slight boost. As amazing as “Looking At You” was, his entire discography is surely worth giving a listen to as well. Whether it’s heating up in temperature or not in your part of the world, this music is handcrafted for any time of day or season.
We instantly imagined ourselves having the time of our lives partying at a Las Vegas day club or even just relaxing by ourselves on the beach. One of our favorite parts about Souto’s music as a whole is that it really just is made for a good time no matter the circumstance. Just like with “Better Days”, we have no choice but to overwhelmingly recommend and suggest a listen of his newest, “Looking At You”. Strap in for a wild ride and essentially a free vacation into the world that this talented DJ has created.
