Currently representing the Los Angeles music scene, Sonnet Simmons’ latest output titled “Triumphant” is an absolutely breathtaking and empowering piece of art. Featuring Randy Gist on the single as well, she’s already seeing success with the single prior to its release. After listening countless times at this point, we’re not surprised in the slightest. While you wait for it to be out officially, get hyped with our full review.
According to Sonnet, “Triumphant” is a “rally cry for womankind, it’s a girl's anthem for all time, it’s the winner's song at every superbowl. “Triumphant” boldly takes its place as this summer’s empowerment anthem for all.” Honestly, bold would be the perfect describer for the song as it is direct and straightforward from start to finish. For singer and songwriter Sonnet Simmons, she’s brought her dynamic vocals to the stage and set up a loud and proud production team to focus in on the finer points. Without a doubt in our minds, we’re so excited for the world to get to hear this song.
The ultimate goal for the song is to provide a lifeline for every survivor out there and we felt that message came across clear as day. Even better though is that for Sonnet Simmons, this is her comeback, and she even has more planned in the coming months in terms of single releases. We have a feeling it might be tough to top this instant classic, but with the genius she’s put out here, we’ll be eagerly waiting for the next.
As this was our first introduction to this artist’s music, she’s quickly created fans for life in us. There’s something tasteful about an artist who can mirror the message of empowerment, all the while creating a memorable song that you just know will be played for years to come.
