Sean Golightly enters the scene on debut country single, "Never Come Back"

Officially debuted on January 1st, 2021, Sean Golightly has released his debut single to the world, “Never Come Back”. Do yourselves a favor and read along with us as we share our thoughts on the track, as well as a background on the artist as well.
Born in Arizona, Sean Golightly has been playing music since the ripe age of 10 years old. Though his influences stemmed from classic rock and folk, his singer-songwriter career has him gravitating towards more of a country feel, which you’ll be able to hear indefinitely on this all new track. Stemming from a low point in the artist’s life, the single speaks on the personal experiences that he had endured.
According to Sean, the track “captures a moment of anger and depression mixed into a sort of energized indignance. I seldom feel more driven than when I feel I've failed deeply, and that's what you get with "Never Come Back" - the drive to change something in a radical way.”
As a debut single for an aspiring artist, we have to say, we are quite blown away with the output of Sean in his unique vocal deliveries, but also the diverse instrumentation delivered throughout as well. Featuring fiddle work from Tony Perez, drums from Pablo Bastidas, and Sean Buechel on bass, Sean leads us all on guitar and vocals. Together they have formed a wonderful partnership to create beauty within the country genre. Sean even tells us that this is the first single in a series of more to come, which we’ll definitely be keeping a close eye on.
With an eccentric country twang backing it, this is just a straightforward fun and upbeat track. Although the lyrics come from a not so bright place in the artist’s life, he still manages to capture a brightness and positivity throughout the three minute listen. Seeing as this was the first song to be officially recorded, we’re certainly looking forward to all that’s coming in the near future. If a song like this is just a taste of what Sean and the band can deliver, then we’re quite confident there’s plenty of more gold on the way.
All this being said though, we are highly recommending and encouraging the reader to listen in to this one. Even passive country listeners will be able to find something they like, it would be hard not to!
