Priscilla Ariana gives the grand tour of single, "Violet Hour" - Interview
On just her second overall single, Priscilla Ariana is already making a difference with her offbeat and inventive music. Luckily for us, we got the opportunity to sit and speak with the artist herself for a full discussion of her latest, “Violet Hour”. Watch our interview below.
Currently a student at Berklee College of Music, Priscilla Ariana has very quickly shown that she’s got exactly what it takes in terms of everything surrounding music making. While her debut single “Toxic Energy” was certainly a stunner, her latest output “Violet Hour” has legitimately blown us away in every possible facet. We sincerely suggest that you don’t miss out on our interview with the artist, mainly because it provided the perfect insight into her process as a musician.
On the background of “Violet Hour”, Prisiclla states that it’s about the night she woke up. She had noticed that she was silencing herself in order to be more comfortably molded into society, and that is what time to hear her own voice. If the connections between the song and the meaning have any correlation, she’s done exactly that, because the song features a mold breaking sound that can only be described as perfectly experimental. Everything lines up wonderfully and Priscilla’s astounding vocals lead the charge right at the forefront.
It’s always a true pleasure when we get to speak with an artist who happens to make music that we mutually love. Seeing as though she’s so early on in her career and is churning out inventive tunes just like this one, the sky is literally the limit for how much else is on the way for her.
