PleasePrettyLea thinks outside the box on experimental single, "Chaotic"

Jam packed with vibrant twists, turns, and adventure, PleasePrettyLea has just shared her latest single, “Chaotic”. Keep reading as we share our complete thoughts on the track, as well as a background on this talented artist.

Bridging together many elements of so many different genres, PleasePrettyLea’s newest song “Chaotic” is a cosmic blend of experimentation. Listeners will be able to hear glimmers of alternative pop, rock, and even little bits of Hip Hop too. Whatever label you’d like to put on this, it barely matters, because everything that it embodies is forward thinking and expressive. If this happens to be your introduction to the artist, this is a wonderful jumping off point to explore more.

Through just a little over four minutes in runtime, “Chaotic” feels more like a musical journey rather than just your typical song. At this point we’ve probably listened to it four or five times, however each runthrough provides another opportunity to hear new things. With help on the production end by Zaq Sawyer Coffee, all collaborators on the track truly went above and beyond in hiding subtleties within the back end of the mix. We’d urge everyone out there to give this a listen with a nice pair of headphones, otherwise you’d 100% be missing out on what “Chaotic” really has to offer. Not to sound cheesy or anything, but the word chaotic really is a wonderful descriptor of some of the more intense passages here.

Putting aside all the bells, whistles, and fun effects featured, it should also go on record to say that PleasePrettyLea’s vocals provide such a necessary constant within the track. Seriously, the way she’s able to shapeshift her voice and provide such emotion while infinite things happen around her is downright mesmerizing. This specific niche of experimental pop is typically so hit or miss, either adding too much or not enough, but everything surrounding “Chaotic” is ideally placed and well thought out. We cannot wait to see how she follows this up in the new year, but in the meantime, now’s your chance to familiarize yourself with everything else.
