Working as an educator by day and fulfilling his passions as a musician and songwriter at night, Ollie Wolfe has delivered something incredibly special to the world with a fresh release of his latest, “Charismatic Ocean”. Built to be an anthem for these summer months, he’s channeled the energy of the sea and mixed in tons of power and dance pop to sincerely put it over the top for a drastically fun listen. We can’t wait for everyone out there to crank this one up loud and jam out immediately.
Engineered to “capture the energy of youthful adventures”, it truly feels like one of those songs you’d pop in right before doing something questionable as a young adult. That’s not to say we recommend you use this song for those purposes, however, we can also envision ourselves rocking out at the beach or going on a nice long drive while the EDM production fills us with energy. Honestly, that’s of the main standouts of this track as a whole is its aim to bridge the gap between your typical “get hyped” EDM and straightforward indie pop. Ollie’s vocals lend themselves perfectly to the mix in the sense that they’re filled with passion and emotion, not to mention the infinite catchy moments thrown in.
Considering that the production is such a strong focal point of “Charismatic Ocean”, another recommendation here would be to listen to this with a nice set of headphones so as to not miss out on any of the subtleties that bring it from good to great. There’s so much energy involved and that comes across clearly, but it’s really the entirety of the song that comes together to create this complete and cohesive single experience. Once again, Ollie Wolfe has done it and we can’t wait to see how he manages to follow this up. Hopefully it’s sooner rather than later!
