NEO 10Y immerses the listener on anthemic single, "Spiritual Viagra"

Rich in its production and overall aura, NEO 10Y has done it once again on his second single release of the year, “Spiritual Viagra”. Always aiming to explore new territories and dabble in sonic experimentation, this one holds true to that fact in terms of elevating what we’ve experienced in the past. Mixing together a diverse use of genres, meaningful lyricism, and being hit with a cavalcade of sound is exactly what we expected. If you know what’s good for you, you’ll dive into this immediately.
From the opening notes, you can instantly feel that this isn’t going to be your typical “pop listen”. In fact, with the infusion of so many palettes of texture, endless synth-drenched passages, and the NEO 10Y’s lofi-esque vocal delivery, it certainly borders the line of alternative. At just a tad over three minutes in complete runtime, listening to “Spiritual Viagra” sort of takes you out of the world we’re living in right now and provides a much needed break. It gives the opportunity to connect the dots within his imagery-filled lyricism and expressive songwriting and potentially tap into your own spirituality, something that music as a whole hasn’t given us in quite some time.
While there were definitely major standout moments for us, particularly the latter half of the track when it experiences a euphoric climax, we came away from our initial listen holding onto the versatility. Generally it’s upbeat and vibrant, but on now repeated listens, we’ve found ourselves looking within and feeling a bit introspective. Truly, there’s so much going on thematically and within the production, it becomes difficult to focus on everything all at once. The more we’ve made our way back, the more subtleties we’ve found through the instrumental side, specifically the raw and powerful emotion it evokes.
