Moosa Saleem collaborates on meaningful single, "Confide"

Always keeping his listeners guessing as to which genre he’ll tackle next, Moosa Saleem has slowed things down a bit on his latest single, “Confide”. Please read on for our glowing review of the track, as well as a much needed background on the artist.

Originally from Kashmir, India, Moosa Saleem is a singer, songwriter and music composer that’s known for his versatility in sound and style. Tackling genres ranging from Pop to Contemporary Classical to House Music, he’s just shared a delicate and softer track titled “Confide” that features Jeremiah de Rozario as a contributing collaborator. Together the two have put their signature touches on a single that we’ve ultimately come to love on each repeated listen. If this is your introduction to the artist, we highly recommend you give this one a listen.

Having been featured on Martin Garrix’s radio show and other notable features, the world is slowly finding out about the greatness that Moosa Saleem has been sharing. In our opinion, we love the fact that he’s not afraid to hold himself to a singular genre or sound, and honestly it does the opposite of pigeon holing his fans into thinking he’s only capable of something specific. The softness and atmospheric qualities on “Confide” were slightly reminiscent of Sufjan Stevens in his prime, but Moosa has still managed to carve out a highly original piece of beauty all in the process.

While we are unfamiliar with Jeremiah’s individual work, it’s collaborations like these that give the opportunity to explore more underground artists. The synergy that the song holds from start to finish is also something that was unexpected. Typically on slower tracks such as “Confide”, it feels difficult to hold a listener’s attention due to the lack of novelty production effects or gimmicks, however the sheer focus and “serious” feeling made us focus 10 times harder. We took the chance to listen to Moosa’s other music, and we quite liked it, but our personal preferences have us leaning towards future songs that sound like this.

All that being said though, this really is an ideal jumping off point for his discography and we’ve made it easier than ever to listen by providing the links below. Don’t forget to follow along to stay tuned for more news as well!
