Miss Shauna empowers on her debut single, "Moonlight"
Coming out strong and confident on her debut single “Moonlight”, Miss Shauna is prepping the world’s ears as a strong contender for sound of the summer. Please read on for an in-depth look at the track, in addition to a background on this artist.
With a goal to be empowering with her lyricism and inspire to trust who you really are through individualism, Miss Shauna has hit euphoric highs both vocally and lyrically on her debut single, “Moonlight”. Based out of Canada and sure to make waves with this dance pop-inspired song, she’s taken cues from some of the greats like Whitney Houston or Celine Dion, yet is still on the path of carving out her own niche within a crowded genre. For now, she’s well on her way and we can’t wait for everyone out there to give this a spin.
Right from the opening notes, Miss Shauna sets the stage and infuses the grooves for what ends up being a bright and vibrant performance. While her vocals are certainly at the forefront, and for the right reason, she’s delicately backed up by a swirling instrumentation that makes you want to get up and dance it out. Considering this is her debut single to the world, we do need to point out that she’s no stranger to music. She’s a lifelong singer who got her name while working at a gay bar, but ultimately she’s taken those small steps and talents and turned them into something that can absolutely elevate her career for the foreseeable future.
The feeling you get from listening to “Moonlight” is tough to explain, but the freeness in which this deeply personal song brings is what sets it over the top. Her message is to “trust your intuition” and a direct quote from Miss Shauna has her saying, “In my experience, If you surrender to life as is, there’s usually something unexpected and beautiful around the corner”. We couldn’t possibly agree more because we’ve been in the scenario, but it doesn’t help to shout it out over and over again from the rooftops for all who haven’t seen the light. Freedom is out there, so go get it!
