Mike Habhab returns to analyze single, "I Belong To You" - Interview
Making his return to the podcast, we got another wonderful opportunity to sit and speak with Mike Habhab, but this time to get the specifics on his single, “I Belong To You”. Please watch our full interview below.
Exactly two months to the day since we last spoke to Mike Habhab all about “What You’ve Been Doing To Me”, you can only imagine our sincere delight to have this talented artist back on once again. This time we sat down for an in-depth talk to chat all about his latest “I Belong To You”, which is a lyrically rich and downright euphoric sounding song that’s guaranteed to put a smile on your face. If this happens to be your introduction to this artist’s music, you’ve found him at the perfect time.
Somehow even more packed with emotion and passion than the last one, Mike Habhab is capitalizing off of his success of his last song. According to Mike on its background, “‘I Belong To You’ is a song that represents how I feel about my wife and how other people may feel about the ones they love too. This song in particular is based off of my marriage and my feelings for my wife”. Ultimately it’s a fairly straightforward story that doesn’t hold any other meaning, and with that, we feel as though he’s hit the nail on the head in expressing his emotions in a way that doesn't need any pointless double meanings. Of course getting to hear more of the specifics on its creation and origins during our discussion was a major plus, but honestly the contextual themes speak perfectly for themselves.
As mentioned previously, this is actually a song from his full length record A Music Collection, but it really did deserve the time and energy to be focused on directly. We still recommend that everyone give this one a spin in full though, there’s plenty of other gems that we hope to hear about more intricately in the near future. On “I Belong To You” though, Mike really was surrounded by an impeccable team that included Zach Radcliff on the vocals and an always stellar production from Chuck Alkazian at Pearl Sound Studios. Mike’s songwriting continues to prosper, and once again, we urge everyone to check it out!
