With the help of two talented artists, Marisa Frantz and Matthew Shell, Michael Peloso has led the way on a truly awe-inspiring new song he’s titled “Rewind”. Currently based out of Rutherford, New Jersey and no stranger to difficult times himself, this artist has courageously put something together that embodies the feeling of beauty and provides those who are also dealing with difficult circumstances themselves. Without a doubt, it’s a song that we’re urging everyone to take the time to listen to.
On the background of it all, ultimately “Rewind” was inspired by the horrific school shooting in Texas not long ago. Says Michael on its creation, “I was longing for a better time from the past & wrote this to bring comfort to those who long for better days”. As a Stage 4 cancer survivor himself, he’s dealt with his own experiences, however these school shootings are unfortunately popping up on an all too common basis. Specifically on this song though, instantly as you hit the play button, it provides this reverberating sense of calm, relaxation, and introspection due to its deep themes and vivid lyricism. Marisa does a wonderful job of leading with her silky smooth voice right at the beginning as the atmospheric production and partially low key instrumentation continues to build in the background.
At right around four minutes in runtime, not only does it serve as something to reflect on emotionally, but absolutely has hit its goal as a reprieve for those suffering in any situation. Another major recommendation we feel the need to share is just how crisp and clean the production is, basically begging the listener to enjoy this with a nice pair of headphones. There’s a ton of subtleties within the mix that are hiding and waiting to be heard, plus you get much more of that immersive feeling that the song effortlessly gives off. Plain and simple, we’re excited for everyone to listen.
