Matt Sassari shares original & remixed version of new single, "Step To"
Giving the world not one, but two versions of his newest single “Step To”, we can confidently claim we’re loving everything about Matt Sassari’s newest work. Read on for a closer look into the track, as well as a background on this artist.
Just released on September 23rd via There Is A Light Records, Matt Sassari’s “dancefloor destroyer” titled “Step To” has arrived and it has fully lived up the claim. Pumping with bass, ominous vocals, and virtually guaranteed to have you hypnotized, we haven’t been able to turn it off. With a second remix coming from British producer Melody’s Enemy, you get the best of both worlds with these two similar yet divergent tracks. Of course, we cannot wait for everyone out there to give these a spin.
On the background of it all, ultimately Matt claims that these songs were geared towards “those late night warriors who love breaking it down on the dance floor. Now stop reading and get to moving!” Hold on Matt, the readers can dance in just a moment, but please let us continue expressing our love for it all. Now while we obviously want everyone to give both of these a listen, Matt’s original certainly veers more towards the darker side of house music. There’s bright spots and vibrance that fill the room, but honestly it doesn’t waste time getting right to it with an inventive beat and pulsating rhythm.
As for this version coming from Melody’s Enemy, it shares plenty of similarities given its just the remixed version, however a major standout was its ability to stretch things and take its time getting there. Tonally, it’s still jam packed with suspenseful, dramatic, and semi-anxiety inducing tones, but it’s fully built for those late nights in a nearly pitch black club. Something feels almost minimalistic about it yet there’s more than enough going on sonically for the listener’s interest to be continually piqued. Whatever label you’d like to put on it or wherever it falls in the spectrum of house, we know for a fact it’s right up our alley.
With all that being said, don’t waste another moment, check out those links below to listen, follow along, and of course to keep up with all future releases from Matt Sassari.
