Next up in Matt Luther's series of six released albums is another genre-expansive experience, titled G.R.E.E.N. We absolutely love what we heard overall, so the obvious move was to sit with Matt and hear all about his latest endeavour, what we can expect in the future, and the process of it all. Enjoy our newest interview below.
Ethereal pop artist, Matt Luther, has just served up yet another journey-filled experience on his latest album, G.R.E.E.N. For an artist like himself who is putting out masterful works at such a fast pace, it’s beyond wonderful that the quality has managed to stay so high in the process. We loved our interview with Matt and managed to become fans in the process.
What’s all set to be a six album series is quickly taking shape as the artist refines his production techniques and opens up lyrically. Specifically on Luther’s lyricism, he brings attention to important causes as well as inspiring others to never give up, no matter how hard life becomes. With the use of expansive layers and atmospheric music, Luther uses his instrumentation to give each song a unique atmosphere and delivers the intended emotions as the instrumentation and lyrics play off each other.
Now obviously the goal here is for you to learn a little bit about the artist by checking out the interview, but if for some reason that feels like too much, you’ve at least got to check the record out. For lovers of things a bit “out there” and on the experimental side, Matt Luther’s music features no shortage of liberally adding in sought after samples and huge doses of psychedlia. We connected instantly on the record and it’s got us even more excited for the next albums up in the series.
Picking out an individual favorite song would be close to an impossible task. The reason being here is that the true essence of the record feels like it comes through the cohesive experience of clicking play at the beginning and letting it flow through seamlessly. Audibly there’s just so much going on, you really wouldn’t want to do yourselves a disservice on miss out on anything anyway. With that being said though, G.R.E.E.N. should be ready to listen to shortly, so give it a chance as soon as it’s available. Enjoy!
