Marc Ambrosia Breaks Down His 3rd LP, "Edge" - Interview
Celebrating the release of his third full length album titled Edge, we had the pleasure of hosting Marc Ambrosia for a full interview discussing the specifics of the record. Check out our discussion below.
We’re strong believers that every great record most likely has a fantastic story behind it. In our latest interview with New Jersey-born Marc Ambrosia, he delicately broke down everything we needed to know about his third LP, Edge. Besides the record being extraordinary and thought provoking on its own, we got into the mind of the artist who kindly provided a background on its creation, the production process, and even a sneak preview of what’s to come in the near future. If this happens to be your first time listening to Marc’s music, you’re in for a serious treat.
On the background of it all, throughout the entirety of Edge, as a listener you’re presented with many different topics and themes surrounding “love, relationships gone wrong, internal conflicts, and elegies to create an emotionally charged and vital collection of music”. He mentions that a lot of these songs almost double as therapy session breakthroughs, and now having had the chance to extrapolate his deep lyricism, we can agree. You feel a sense of relief through the artist as he gets his ideas out there and attempts to solve all the problems. Luckily for you though, these words are backed up by compelling instrumentation and a seriously rich production.
Another major standout among many in our initial listen was the cohesiveness of the album. You get immersed early on and take the overall emotions from song to song. There’s plenty of stylistic changes and mood shifts via Marc’s impressive vocals as he acts as the real constant to Edge, but tonally everything flows together flawlessly. Having had the opportunity to speak with him and now knowing what it took to get to this point is the true cherry on top, which is why we’d urge everyone to enjoy our conversation prior to listening.
While we patiently await a follow up, please go ahead and check out the important links below to listen, follow along, and of course to keep up with everything else on the way. Enjoy!
