Marble Mammoth share trippy music video for new single, "Higher Than The Sun"

With the music video officially released today for “Higher Than The Sun”, Marble Mammoth are making waves within the psych genre. Definitely check the video out, but in the meantime, read along for our full thoughts on the song as well.
Released today on Saturday, November 7th (with the single releasing on November 13th), Marble Mammoth are doing big things within the musical genre of rock. Currently based out of Sweden, if you’re unfamiliar with the band, make sure to check out all of their music, not just this incredible music video.
We caught up with Marble Mammoth before the release of the music video and they gave us a bit of information regarding the creation of it as well. With their gear including an old DVCAM and fisheye lens, the video’s director Gustav Öhman Spjuth shot a story of a wild young man, haunted by anxiety. Says the singer and guitarist Tobias Bergholm, ”This esthetic really suited the story and helped convey the right feel to the song.”
For those who may be unaware of the band’s music and history, Marble Mammoth first saw the light in 2017 with the release of their self titled debut EP. Since then though, they’ve released songs such as Wrecked Ship, Glitter Amongst Gravel, and most recently the indie hymn, Have The Sun Lick Your Mind, which got on Spotify’s editorial playlist and are still getting radio plays in countries such as The UK, Australia and The US.
Moving back to the music and video, it is truly fantastic. While the actual single isn’t set to be released until November 13th, we particularly love that the band is teasing the music with the release of a video. The song is perfectly heavy and represents the band’s style in all the best ways possible. We definitely do not want to give away what you’re going to be seeing or hearing in the video, which is why we’re highly suggesting and recommending you check it out for yourselves!
