Lucid Safari return for spectacular new EP, "Delirium"

It’s true, everything this man turns to absolute musical gold! We’re loving every moment of Lucid Safari’s latest EP, Delirium. Please read on for a closer look at the record, as well as an update on this emerging artist.

It’s been a little bit since we last covered Lucid Safari’s work, but we’re beyond thrilled with the project of Daniel J. Lewis has returned with a dynamite new EP called Delirium. Expertly fusing together bits and pieces of indie rock and reggae, this Brisbane-based artist has put together an inspiring record full of optimistic lyrics, outrageous instrumentation, and plenty of memorable moments from start to finish. We haven’t been able to stop listening and we’re fairly confident you’ll all feel the same.

While Daniel is certainly the lead man on the project, he’s enlisted a strong team of rotating musicians to help craft his final vision in the studio and in a live setting. We’ve said it once and we’ll continue to say it again, but the fact there’s artists out there that continue to drive the reggae genre as a whole and not reinvent the wheel is something to behold. While it’s still got that classic sound embedded deep in its roots, the entire Lucid Safari project aims to bring a much needed freshness into the mix. Again, everyone involved has delivered, and we’re not surprised in the slightest.

At 5 songs and right around 17 minutes, this is an instant burst of dopamine to the body. The vocals are heavenly and Daniel has really shown off his range here, especially on the title track “Delirium”. The real constant of it all is just how wildly impressive the instrumentals continue to be. Specific tracks like “Lady” and the closer “Always On My Mind” are instantly replayable, but really the true love comes through by listening from start to finish. The objective here isn’t to spoil, rather to give a focused listen, so that’s just about all we’ll say for now. Although we will wrap things up by saying this is 100% a can’t miss record. Go ahead and check out everything else from Lucid Safari too!
