Loch Raven and Shauni collaborate on masterful single, "Disappear"
Released just over a month ago on January 22nd, 2021, Loch Raven and Shauni have collaborated on an absolutely breathtaking new single, titled “Disappear”. Read on with us to hear our complete thoughts on the track, as well as a background on these two blossoming artists.
A match made in heaven, Loch Raven and Shauni have come together on a collaboration single titled “Disappear” that has taken the best of both artists and culminated into something truly outstanding. Inspired by the likes of G Jones and ODESZA, Loch Raven handled the production side of things, whereas Shauni lent her angelic vocals to ultimately create a wondrous work. They’ve brought a refreshing sound to the EDM stage that’s been missing for a while.
For those unaware, Loch Raven (also known as Andrew Mallinoff) has pulled elements from his long time spent in music and formed them along the way to give a representation based on what you’re hearing today. Shauni, on the other hand, is no stranger to music in the slightest. While she’s been singing since a young age, she’s also got a music catalogue of her own that is completely worth your time to explore as well.
To begin, we’ll really just have to recommend right now you not only listen to it, but come prepared by listening with a nice set of headphones or sound system. The production on this track is so expansive that you really wouldn’t want to miss out on the subtleties by listening any other way. Loch Raven has really honed his craft on this one as it is really like nothing we’ve ever heard. As much as we love the collaboration overall, even just an isolated instrumental would have blown us away. The slight glitches, dynamic sounds, slow creeping build over the course of the song is really something to behold.
Focusing solely on the lyrics and vocal delivery from Shauni, just wow. As much as we’d love an instrumental, we’d really also enjoy an a capella version as she has sent shivers down our collective spines with the way that she delivered line after line. Seriously, if you’re a producer looking for an artist to feature on your songs, look no further and hit her up ASAP.
Without giving too much away, I think the point that really needs to be nailed down the most is that this is just a really fantastically produced and well cared for song that deserves your time and attention. If no other collaborations come between these two, well, at least we’ll have this to listen to over and over again. For now though, do yourselves a favor and listen endlessly, we promise you won’t regret it. Enjoy!
