La Union revitalize their biggest hit ever, "“Lobo-hombre en Paris”

Reworking one of their more well known songs “Lobo-hombre en Paris”, the band known as La Union have brought this memorable track into the 21st century. Do yourselves a favor and read on for an in-depth review of the single, in addition to a background on this legendary band.

Originally released all the way back in 1984, La Union have done an impeccable job of modernizing arguably their biggest hit ever, “Lobo-hombre en Paris”. We’ll kick things off by obviously recommending a listen, but it won’t mean much if you don’t listen to the original prior to checking out the 2022 version. Both are classic and hold the true essence of one of Spain’s most innovative rock bands, so please give them an equal shot whenever possible.

You’ll most likely sense the differences, but a main change in the updated version are the inclusion of warm vocals from Luis Bolin. They’re said to have added a suspenseful tone in time for the Halloween season, but in our opinion, they sound inspired and revitalized. There’s certainly a uniqueness about them, but almost 40 years later and his delivery has aged like a fine wine. We’d continue to urge all new listeners to enjoy the rest of the tracks off of this newest project, Clasicos Revisitados, an album full of the band’s hits spanning 40 years of releases.

Speaking more on the updated version though, there’s such an unexplainable flow about “Lobo-hombre en Paris” and the way that it feels like it’s floating on a cloud. The instrumentation is most likely the culprit here, but when focusing in closer, the rolling bassline from start to finish gives it that weightlessness. Sure the vocals are quite calming as well, but ultimately it’s the free flowing aura that the song holds completely. We can’t be the only ones that think that considering this track over the years has racked up nearly 250 million streams solely on Spotify!

With all that being said though, La Union are preparing to head out on tour through Spain, Mexico, USA and South America to play these updated classics. Please go ahead and check out the links below to listen, follow along, and to stay updated on all major news.
