KOOLZ delivers an upbeat and vibrant performance on "Coffee"
Unbelievably catchy from start to finish, KOOLZ has just delivered a summer ready single that goes by the title “Coffee”. Please keep reading for a closer look into the track, as well as a background on this emerging artist.
Currently based on the Gold Coast of Australia, KOOLZ has put together an upbeat and infectious new song called “Coffee” that we simply haven’t been able to turn off. Reminiscent of some of our favorite tunes from the early 2000’s, the artist has infused a ton of modern elements into it all that makes it come together for an adventurous and vibrant time. Taking cues from Jojo and Rex Orange County, KOOLZ is continuing to etch out a niche for herself that’s getting more and more distinct as each subsequent single sees a release. Specifically on “Coffee” though, it quickly gives off that feeling of being energized with a touch of lighthearted feelings attached. Although it may not be summer right now in Australia where KOOLZ is located, it’s hotter than ever in California, but songs like this are certainly going to be at the forefront of our summer playlists. We instantly envision ourselves cruising down the highway, enjoying a beach day, or any other outdoor activity while “Coffee” sets the mood.
While this was our introduction to the artist’s music, we’ve already gone ahead and done a deep exploration on the rest of her growing discography. With a self-titled EP that was released this year, we’re thrilled that the momentum is shifting with a quick follow up like this. You can audibly hear the slight pivot in sound and style, but that signature essence of KOOLZ is what’s going to make us stick around for the long haul. The way the vocals are delivered, the subtleties within the production, and inventive instrumentation are all key factors to the success thus far. In the meantime though, we’ll be patiently waiting for more stellar music just like this.
