Displaying her lush vocals on an R&B-inspired track titled “No Maybe”, we got the special opportunity to sit and speak with Kayden all about her newly released single. Please check out our full interview below.
For those out of the loop on Kayden, she’s a multi-talented singer, actress, and beyond that’s making waves up and down in the industry. Fresh off of the release of her latest “No Maybe”, she’s been on a hot streak of singles lately, and there’s no doubt in our collective minds that this is the next one. Drenched in smooth production that highlights her dynamic vocal delivery, getting to speak with Kayden and hearing the specifics on the single was the cherry on top to our multiple listens.
You might recognize Kayden as one of the stars of the newest Disney show, The Villains of Valley View, but she’s also a singer, songwriter and performer that has an EP gearing up for a release this Fall. Having co-written the track with Dustin Atlas”, ultimately it’s about her biggest crush at the age of 13, among other things that we spoke about extensively in our interview. The plans are to see a steady release schedule from now until October, but as we patiently wait, we’d obviously recommend you start with “No Maybe” and work your way backwards.
As for the song itself, it’s one of those earworms that’s undoubtedly going to get stuck in your head for weeks to come. Through the imagery-filled lyrical content to the silky smooth production effects, Kayden remains the focal point as she so passionately delivers each line. At only three minutes even in length, it goes by so quickly that you’re inclined to replay it the moment it ends. It also does a seriously fantastic job of blurring genres, incorporating the best elements of Pop, R&B, and beyond to create this well rounded and poignant effect.
