KingDow explores "Black Man" in a full video interview
Hot off the release of his latest single, “Black Man”, we got the incredible opportunity to speak with KingDow all about the intricacies and processes in a full video interview. You can watch it by clicking the link below.
For those unaware, KingDow is an artist from the Seattle area who’s been involved in music since the young age of 7. Although he’s been involved in many projects over the years, he’s now set out on his own as a solo artist in which he encompasses the sounds of jazz, rock, reggae, and combinations of everything else. His newest single “Black Man” is by far one of our favorites and our interview is a fantastic insight into the artist.
Now while we’d much prefer for you to watch the interview posted above, we’ll let you know right away that not only is this the single incredible, but KingDow as a person and artist is a true visionary. Speaking with him was an absolute pleasure and really gave us an opening into how he functions not only as an artist, but how he takes strides in his professional career as well. We have a feeling that “Black Man” is just going to be a small bump in the many successful singles the artist sees through the trajectory of his career.
Having been featured on KEXP's "Throwaway style" series platform, he’s also been recognized in the local newspaper "Daily Herald" as well as the Everett School District for his music. KingDow refers to his music as "Genre Transcending" because he his going beyond genres and creating new styles with his music. “Black Man” is spreading the message of self-empowerment, spiritual enlightenment, and third eye awareness. The immediate goal for the artist is to spread his musical message and to be a respected independent artist. In our eyes at least, he’s already there.
At this point though, there really isn’t much else to say that hadn’t been said within our interview. The next step here if you haven’t watched, is to follow along with KingDow’s social media, as well as give “Black Man” all the deserving listens. We sincerely hope you enjoy it, because we know we did.
