King Vagabond share synth-fueled single & video for "One Night"
Officially on a roll with a synth-fueled second single titled “One Night”, King Vagabond’s latest is electric. Keep reading for an in-depth look at the track, as well as an update on this emerging band.
Following up their debut single “Rule The World” that we immediately fell in love with, King Vagabond have made a swift return with a high intensity song they’ve called “One Night”. Riveting right from the start, it takes an exploratory look lyrically through music industry burnout that’s euphorically followed by an outstanding instrumentation. In our eyes, the duo have gone two for two thus far in their releases, but if this is your introduction the band then we highly recommend checking out both.
Just released on May 6th, 2022, and being accompanied by a music video that we’ve linked below, King Vagabond are infusing heaps of art and culture into their image and sound. Focusing in on the single, they’ve really rounded out “One Night” with tons of influence that not only shows a sonic pivot from “Rule The World”, but rather has expanded on an already diverse sound. However, we did find this one specifically to be a little darker in tone, although that could be directly attributed to the meaning behind it all. The lyrics here really do paint a picture of a specific desperation indie artists feel when releasing music early in their career. If this review is any consolation, the artists behind King Vagabond should have inflated egos because we’ve got nothing but top tier comments to give.
As for the music video, and not to spoil too much before you watch, but it really does display all the cinematics that you’d expect from a song of this caliber. The cinematography is perfectly dialed in, the message is conveyed without having to strain yourselves, and it’s vibrant to the eye effortlessly. The song itself holds an unparalleled energy just in the audio version, so to see it come to life legitimately will send shivers down your spine. King Vagabond are shaking things up within their genre and we can’t wait to see how they follow it up next.
