K I Off The Book go off the rails on stellar instrumental record, "EP II"

Strap yourselves in for a seriously wild ride because K I Off The Book have just released a thrilling new record titled EP II. Please read on for an in-depth look at the release, in addition to a background on these artists.

Truly thinking outside of the box and exploring sound, style, and infinite genres, we’ve quickly become enamored with K I Off The Book’s latest musical endeavor, EP II. For the uninitiated, prepare yourselves to be mesmerized by exotic song structures, over the top instrumentation, and a passion for ambition that we haven’t experienced in some time. Plain and simple, we are loving this record and can’t wait for everyone to give it a focused listen.

As this was our introduction to the band as a whole, we didn’t quite know what to expect before hitting the play button. With that being said though, the power duo of Peter Kocso (guitar) and Illes Ispanovits (drums) immediately immerse you into atmospheric tones and take you on a journey that comes out of nowhere. At only three total tracks, spanning right around 15 minutes in length, you forget about the world around you and get blasted in the face with pure talent and unforgettable moments. These two aren’t holding themselves to specific genres or a formula, rather just sort of feeling out what inspires them and it’s easily what made us enjoy this EP the most by far.

Normally we would recommend a song or two to dip your toes in or get the feel, but considering there’s only three songs here, it would legitimately be impossible to pick one over the other. They’re all so different and feature different moods and auras, but the 7 minute closer “160_duo” might have been the most astounding of the bunch. Each track feels like it was pulled out of an action maybe, specifically some sort of car chase scene, which is why we'd love to see an adaptation of these songs in a movie or TV show. The versatility that EP II. holds is unreal to say the least and we’ll be patiently waiting for a follow up as soon as it gets announced.

For now, please don’t waste another moment not listening to this. We’ve included all the important links below to listen, follow along, and to stay tuned for more.
