Here with his first official EP, Khalil IIvrsn has finally debuted his new work, More Than You Know. Please do yourselves a favor and read along with us as share our thoughts on the record, in addition to a brief bio on the artist himself.

Khalil IIvrsn, also known as JerMarcus Taylor, originally grew up in Birmingham, Alabama, yet found his way out through music. Since he was a youth, he was always showing traits of becoming the next big entertainer. Coming from a Christian church going family, his journey began singing in youth choir. Soaking in the knowledge of what he learned started to translate into his own writings. Over the next couple years he started to hear a different style mixing, then came the heavy hitting flows with melodic melodies.

Despite many setbacks from trials and tribulations, Khalil embodied those experiences which made him the artist that he is today. Having different influences from old school to new age music, you can so clearly hear his unique sound captured in the music. The ability to create catchy tunes and hooks is what makes Khalil IIvrsn the artist to watch out for years to come.

After listening to his limited discography released prior to More Than You Know and comparing it to this EP, we are so incredibly happy with the way it turned out. Having listened to “I Got” and “Certified” before the release, our hopes were certainly high for the record, but wow, after listening from start to finish in one go, we can confidently let our readers know that this 100% the album you need to be checking out on this fantastic new music Friday.

While we don’t want to give too much away, because we’d prefer you listen and form your own opinions, we will let you know that you’re sure to be impressed. From the catchy hooks, the smooth flows, and the extremely high quality production, More Than You Know hits in all the best ways possible. Even the casual hip hop listener is sure to pick out some tracks that they can immediately add to workout playlists or just for regular everyday listening.

At this point though, with a fantastic EP under his belt, the sky's the limit for Khalil IIvrsn. While this was our first foray into the music of the artist before listening, it absolutely will not be our last. Considering he’s just starting out in his musical career, he’s paved a path for himself within the industry and genre, and we’re here for it. If he’s producing fire like this right now, who knows what’s to come 5, 10, or 15 years from now.
