Kendra & the Bunnies share soaring single, "So Hollywood"
As if the band name wasn’t great enough, Kendra & the Bunnies have just put out another rocking single that’s just been released, titled “So Hollywood”. Please read along with us for our in-depth analysis of their track.
Featuring all sorts of attitude, grit, and a soaring instrumentation from start to finish, Kendra & the Bunnies’ newest output “So Hollywood” is everything we hoped it would be. Jam packed with imagery filled lyrics and a seriously heavy feel to it, you won’t have a tough time in the slightest getting into this jam.
Kicking things off here, we’ve just got to immediately point out that this was our first introduction to the music of Kendra & the Bunnies. With that being said though, they’ve sold us immediately just based on hearing this particular single. As Los Angeles natives and residents ourselves, it’s always nice to listen to a song about your hometown, but especially an “anti” version that gets as real as possible and tells the truth.
It can’t be said enough how absolutely heavy and perfect the instrumentation is here. The vocals obviously set the tone and get the point across, but the soaring guitar riffs, heavy drums, and inventive bass lines make for a pure backing instrumental that would be impressive just on its own. We can only assume that Kendra is the lead singer, but let’s not allow the Bunnies to be set aside as they’re just as powerful as she is.
Speaking directly on the vocals though, our immediate impressions were a collective jaw drop and an in unison “wow”. This is the type of individual and isolated single that makes us miss live music the most, because you just know this song would slay in a live setting. With lyrics that aren’t too complicated to memorize, it instantly put us in the headspace of imagining a massive crowd singing it right back to the band. The hope here is that the day that can happen isn’t too far away.
