It’s always a great day when Katie Tich puts out new music! In this case, the emerging artist has just shared an all new single titled “Back To Me 2.0”. Please read on for our in-depth look at the track, as well as a much needed refresher on the musician.
With each song that Katie Tich releases, a new part of her life becomes open for all that are willing to listen. The sheer beauty and calm created on “Back To Me 2.0” is showcasing the great lengths that Katie is willing to go to share her message in a beautiful way. Stepping up the production efforts, but always impressive on the vocal front, we’ve fallen in love with this song and confidently think you will too.
Comparing to her past releases, such as “Arrow” which we thoroughly enjoyed, one of the first things we felt when we dove into our initial listen was an increase in maturity and emotion within the overall sound. We’ll always mention that Katie’s vocals are the focal point of her songs, but the actual soundscapes and subtleties shown here are a serious growth within her musical overall. On the songwriting front, her stories are becoming a lot more clear and clever as well. You can audibly hear the improvements from track to track and it’s really been such a pleasure to get to document it at all in the process.
While Katie’s musical goals are for old and new listeners to “connect to the parts of yourself that you may be afraid to connect to”, we also feel that she’s helped to show and shape vulnerability as well. It’s not easy in the slightest to get words on the page, especially when strangers are essentially going to be documenting your music without really knowing you. We can’t speak for Katie of course, but get the feeling that there’s a real therapeutic feeling that comes from the music she’s making, especially on “Back To Me 2.0”.
