Jokes On Me highlights the meaning & process behind single, "Bottom Line" - Interview
On only the band’s second official single titled “Bottom Line”, Jokes On Me were more than kind enough to drop in for a full explanation on the background of this heavy track. Please enjoy our interview with the group below.
Continuing to preview their upcoming record, the band known as Jokes On Me have effortlessly served up a new single titled “Bottom Line” that is simply jam packed with power, attitude, edge, and a whole lot of emotion backing it. Luckily for us, nearly the entirety of the band stopped by so that we could pick their brains to speak about the intricacies of their creation, where their sound is headed, and even a sneak peek into how this album is going to shape up as it gets closer to release. Chances are this is your intro to their music, so make sure not to miss out.
Led by JJ Eaton (guitar/vocals), who we previously interviewed over a year ago about his other group The Louisiana Project, the newest iteration of his talent is being the frontman for Jokes On Me. After making many realizations about his life and all time musical catalog, thankfully it led him in the direction of getting this new outfit created. Jokes On Me are putting together an inspired and eclectic mix of straightforward Rock and Roll, however it obviously pulls from a lifelong treasure trove of musical influences and prior experiences. The band’s debut single “Some Kind of Freak” is a can’t miss listen too, but they’ve outdone themselves on “Bottom Line”, which is ultimately three minutes of loud and lovely talent.
One of the more special parts about this song is that it doesn’t focus solely on attention grabbing instrumentals, whereas the entirety of the band paid special attention to the details between the notes. You’ve got meaningful lyricism that provides a perspective and tells a story but also the sheer passion and appreciation for music as a whole. There’s a real sincerity and genuine feeling that you get from hitting the play button, something that can’t be taught or learned. As the band gears up for a full length album, we’re 100% invested to see how the rest turns out and will absolutely be giving it a listen as it continues to roll out.
While we patiently wait, go ahead and click those links below to enjoy the song, follow along, and of course to stay tuned for everything else in the works. Enjoy!
