Iris Marlowe recalls a wild night on "Make Up Your Mind"
Previewing yet another stellar single off her upcoming record titled “Make Up Your Mind”, we’re highly recommending a listen to Iris Marlowe. Read on for our full review of the track, as well as a background on this emerging artist.
Inspired by a nightmare Tinder date, Iris Marlowe’s imagery-filled lyricism and upbeat attitude in “Make Up Your Mind” have ultimately created an instant hit in our eyes and ears. Currently based out of Chicago, Illinois, Iris is a country folk singer who doesn’t skimp on the passion when creating her music, and no matter the subject, you can virtually guarantee it’s going to be memorable. We sincerely love this song and think everyone out there is going to feel the same!
Delicately bringing together worlds of classic country and rock and roll, right from the start you’re instantly thrown into this instrumentally powerful song. Although if you’ve been in the situation of a terrible Tinder date like this one, it’s not always fun in the moment, but in this case it’s been the factor of this lyrically strong song. As upbeat and generally positive as the style is, we suggest you listen a little closer to hear that story that’s being painted right in front of you.
Filled with banjos, bombastic drums, and of course Iris’ empowering vocals, she’s really tied together everything we love about music. In pop-centric music today, there seems to be a formula that’s being followed so closely, but Iris has cleverly thought outside the box on this release. Considering it’s the third single off her upcoming album, it’s already shaping up to be a record worth sharing with everyone. As much as we recommend giving this song a listen, you’re certainly not going to want to miss out on everything else she’s put out. We don’t know for a fact when the album is coming out, but we’ll be sure to update as soon as possible.
All that being said though, please do yourselves a huge favor and check out the links below in order to listen, follow along, and stay tuned for so much on the way. Enjoy!
