Iness Live excels on reworking of Olivia Newton John's hit, "Physical"

For those out of the loop, Iness Live is a Croatian multi talented artist who’s quickly shown that she’s an absolute dynamo and powerhouse when it comes to the music she’s making. On her all new single, which is a reworking and homage to Olivia Newton John’s “Physical”, she’s brought that 1981 classic into the modern era with plenty of added pizzazz and electronics. Without a doubt, we cannot wait for everyone to click the play button here and get dancing as soon as possible.
There’s no way you’ve gone your life without hearing the original, but truly nothing could have prepared us for Iness Live’s new version in which she’s breathed new life into this art. On the background and inspiration for its creation, she said, “the story is about me breaking free from all the chains surrounding me, finding freedom in music in love and finally the message is love conquers all .. you just have to believe in yourself”. We 100% back up that claim, and when you really look intently on the meaning behind “Physical”, it’s an inspiration to us all with meaningful lyricism. For the dance music fans, and even those who experienced this track during its heyday nearly 45 years ago, it’s brought an unexpected dose of nostalgia into our lives.
On the production end and comparison to the original, immediately there’s an infusion of pulsating synthesizers, added emphatic drums, and a more uptempo nature that sucks you in from the start. Similarly the vocals feel a lot more light and airy, whereas they’re met with a seriousness and determination coming from the electronic end. While there’s plenty of standout moments, we do think that this song holds a versatility for the audience that’s about to listen. Whether you’ve been listening to this song forever, or just being introduced to the first time, it bridges together generations of those for something new and lovely. Iness Live has certainly outdone herself and we cannot wait for more music to hopefully hit streaming platforms sometime in 2023!
