Glass Image explode on fiery new single, "Save Me"

Giving the world another taste of what’s to come prior to their debut LP, Glass Image have made a swift return with a new single, “Save Me”. Read on for a closer look at the track, as well as an update on the band.

Following up their lead single “Again” that we absolutely adored, Glass Image are one step closer to the release of their debut LP Mixed Emotions with a fiery single they’ve titled “Save Me”. For those still unfamiliar with the band, they’re composed of Connor VanEpps (Vocals/Guitar), Eric Frank (Guitar), Alec Barner (Bass), and Eric Mohan (Drums), currently residing in New York. Together they’re continuing to find their niche in the rock genre, but are well on their way to glory with each subsequent release.

Stylistically and sonically, we can already feel that Mixed Emotions is shaping up to be a mixed bag of sounds, all the while staying true to the band’s signature feel. We mentioned enthusiastically on “Again” the euphoria it brought us, but where “Save Me” differs is how much the band leans on the vocals here to draw emotion and energy. We can throw around the word passion all day long, but you can’t look past the skills and range that Connor holds within his voice. We obviously enjoyed every facet of the song and its slightly heavier direction, but it’s safe to say that the way the vocals tied into the high instrumental points were our collective favorite moments.

Considering that “Save Me” is nearly a full minute and a half longer than its predecessor, the track itself had so much more time to build up and explode near the end. Specifically, the leadup in the beginning felt reminiscent of being on a roller coaster that’s slowly and steadily taking you up, but you know the drop is about to come. Once it happens though, the listener rides the wave to glory as everyone in the band finds their place for a fantastic rest of the journey. Sincerely though, we’ve got no qualms or critiques here, the song crushes from beginning to end.

As we patiently await the 3rd single from the album to be shared, familiarize yourselves with the rest of their discography, follow along, and stay tuned for plenty more on the way by checking the links below.
