Gary Carpentier goes in-depth on his latest single, "Drive" - Interview

Gary Carpentier is back and better than ever, especially on his newest single, "Drive". We sat with Gary himself to discuss the finer details surrounding everything you'd want to know about the creation of this single. Watch our full talk below.

For those unaware, Gary Carpentier is a 29 year old singer and songwriter, based out of Syracuse, New York. Taking influence and being compared to the likes of Ben Howard, Sam Smith, and Ben Rector, the first thing thing you’ll notice about this incredibly talented artist are his immaculate vocals. Featured on Season 13 of NBC’s The Voice, he’s back with his newest single, “Drive”!

We’d love to kick this off by just stating the obvious, we’re loving everything that Gary Carpentier is putting out, especially on this latest single. In our interview with the artist, we got into the weeds on what inspired him to get into music and the exact inspirations on this newest single as well. In addition to his music and voice being spectacular, he's a pretty incredible person as well. Getting to know a person just makes the music sound that much better when you know it’s coming from a genuine person who just wants those listening to his music to get the message and relate.

Now we’d obviously prefer you watch our full interview to hear the in’s and out’s of what Gary’s up to, however the main priority here is that you at least check out his music. Before you catch him on tour someday soon, you might as well get familiar with his discography as there isn’t a bad track in the bunch. With more being worked on and hopefully released by the end of the year, “Drive” is the perfect place to start for those being introduced to the artist for the first time.

With that being said though, don’t miss out on this talent’s music. He’s soulful, charming, and the songs themselves are guaranteed to send shivers down your spine. As mentioned, “Drive” is a solid start, but don’t look over his two EP’s My Time and Lucid. Both fantastic and both deserving of your time. Enjoy!
