Gabrielle Ornate storms back on empowering 2nd single, "Do You Feel?"
With its official release coming today on May 21st, 2021, Gabrielle Ornate has come storming back with her sophomore single, “Do You Feel?”. Do yourselves a huge favor and read on for our complete review, as well as a refresher on the artist.
We knew it would be tough for Gabrielle Ornate to top her debut single, “The March of the Caterpillars”, but she’s proved us wrong and released a beyond worthy follow up titled “Do You Feel?”. In our eyes, she’s gone 2 for 2, but we’d love for you to be the judge by checking out her music. If it’s any consolation, we’re absolutely recommending all the listens to her latest.
If this happens to be your introduction to Gabrielle though, you should know that this Bohemian queen is empowering herself and those who listen to her music by infusing it with a varied instrumentation, commanding vocals, and an always top notch production. Featuring her signature ethereal lyrics and walls of synthesizers, you’re definitely not going to feel like her music is stripped back in any way.
While there’s just been these two songs released so far, they’re honestly everything we could want and more. The hype surrounding her debut was real, but we feel like this latest release is going to propel her to even higher highs. Not that the song was overwhelming in anyway, but it deserves multiple listens to really digest all that you’re hearing. A first listen through could have 100% of your focus on her vocals and lyricism, but then a second run through could just have a focus on the dynamic background that’s driving it all. If you’re looking to raise your heart rate a bit, look no further, this one’s for you.
There’s a certain badass feeling that we got after listening and we think it might just be the overall empowerment that we felt. Our hearts were racing and felt energized enough to run a marathon. There just wasn’t really even a moment throughout the entirety of the listen that we felt like something could’ve been added or there was a miss in any way. She’s nailed it.
